Complicated Relationships

John B. Marine | July 29, 2019 | | Be the first to comment!
Complicated relationships suggest a couple is in love, but the partners are not completely happy all the time. A complicated relationship is where a couple is together and love each other, but don't always see eye-to-eye on things. It is almost as if one expects a complicated couple are only one incident away from completely breaking up or divorcing (among married couples). Naturally, any couple will have moments of love and happiness... and then moments of hate and argument. Thing is... are the disagreements happening more often than the happy moments? If so, then something has to be done to make sure already bad times don't get worse. What no couple ever wants is for things to reach levels of violence. That violence includes physical violence or any kind of mental or verbal abuse.

NOTE: I am no relationship expert. The advice offered is mostly opinion-based. Consult a proper professional on relationship matters if you are in crisis with relationship-related matters.

Complicated Relationships

I will set the mood of this blog post with a picture. Here goes...

complicated relationships
^ from: (Slism) - You may be in a complicated relationship if you are in love with someone but constantly have issues being totally happy with your partner/spouse.

When some people disclose their relationship status on social media, you may have seen "it's complicated." It means that a couple loves each other, but there are times when a couple spends more time arguing or have a tough time unconditionally loving each other. Arguments and disagreements are natural in every relationship. However, when you face a complicated relationship, the love you share with your partner is shoddy at best. If such complicated relationships aren't improved or saved, a couple could be heading towards breaking up. A complicated marriage may teeter towards divorce. Whatever the case, complicated relationships need a number of things to save a relationship from being more troubled than they could be.

Complicated Relationships Among Parents.

A complicated relationship involving parents or relatives can be damaging. One may find oneself fearing parents could be in crisis in the case of a complicated relationship. You fear you will be alone if your parents break up from a complicated relationships. Or maybe there will be a single parent taking care of you.

How to Improve a Complicated Relationship?

Any number of factors can determine if a complicated relationship needs some saving.

• If the complication is caused by some sort of infidelity (such as cheating), then either a couple can try to work things out on their own or maybe seek a relationship expert. It is perhaps the best practice to seek help from a relationship expert, a marriage counselor, or some other qualified professional in this matter.

• It is probably best to try to do some fun (and even romantic) things together to try to keep the bond strong.

• While it may not lead to a positive outcome, a complicated relationship can be improved by having your fair share of talks and arguments. Get any would-be problems negotiated to try to move on from whatever transgressions you are facing as a couple. Just make sure to not let the talks reach violent levels.

• If you tried everything to improve a relationship, simply break up or go on some romantic break. If married, you may face the option of divorce. Breaking up and divorce may have different avenues, and either option can be both mentally and financially draining. So be sure to have plans in place should you go the route of breaking up or divorce (if married).

I will offer some final thoughts now. Please go to the next section.

Complicated Relationships: Final Thoughts

Couples love each other for the most part. Couples will argue and have disagreements. When disagreements become too numerous and often, this complicates relationships. To maintain a healthy relationship, it helps for both parties to be able to come together for the most part and not have so many differences among each other. You are not going to agree with everything about your partner. With this said, you need to try to make sure a complicated relationship does not reach any sort of violence. If you tried everything to maintain or repair any rocky relationship, it is perhaps best you break up or divorce (if married). Whatever the case, love works best when a couple are completely happy with each other and do not regularly engage in arguments and disagreements.

Just to say again- please seek help from a qualified professional if you are in crisis with a complicated relationship.

When you want online therapy, you have a number of options. Like many things in life, you can have many options, but finding the best options can be a challenge. So this blog post is a look at finding the best online therapy. I can tell you as a spoiler that that I am not going to name any specific sites in this blog post. This is more a general post in regards to finding the needed help online for online therapy. Whomever you choose is entirely up to you.

Best Online Therapy Sites

I do tout BetterHelp on "John's Life Space" a lot. However, if you are seeking help for your mental health issues, BetterHelp isn't the only choice. There thankfully isn't a monopoly on what online therapy sites to choose from. Getting the psychiatric help you need shouldn't be a monopoly. You shouldn't have to let choosing a therapy site further complicate any sort of mental health issues you are having. Something I like to say is that you don't solve problems by adding to them. So if you need online therapy, you would much rather find a reliable source than be lost trying to find the best possible solution.

Even though it shouldn't be an issue of trying to find the best possible online therapy, you do want to find online therapy to best suit your needs and your budget. This is especially if you are seeking online therapy. It is also helpful you find certain online therapists that are properly licensed and accredited to assist you. Even if you fear meeting an online therapist that seems sketchy, at least you want to be able to meet someone who can be of worthy service to you. Finding the best online therapy site for you can also pertain to the nature of the site and its atmosphere. There are lots of things to consider in regards to picking the best online therapy site for you.

Final Thoughts.

I realize I am not helping my cause by not declaring one specific service as the best with a topic like this. However, picking the right online therapist should be your call and based on your own research. You need to consider various factors in regards to picking the best possible online therapy site for you. No matter what it takes, there is an online therapy site for you that you will love and may even recommend if you truly enjoy that service.

My job in this blog post is to help you pick the best online therapy site and what to consider in doing so. I did not name any specific ones as the best, as this is not any kind of review blog post. All the hard work and research on online therapy is up to you and you alone. So good luck to you!

Is Online Therapy Effective?

John B. Marine | July 06, 2019 | | Be the first to comment!
(UPDATED: June 10, 2020)

It helps to gain psychiatric help for when faced with mental health issues. Can psychiatric help be effective, even online? This is what I hope to respond to in this blog post in helping provide options for my audience. I will offer my own opinions on this topic to help you decide for yourself if you should take up on online psychiatry, and also I am here to help convince you whether or not to take up online psychiatry to help you in your mental health situations.

Is Online Psychiatry Effective?

Any sort of psychiatry is effective when faced with mental health issues. When you are unable to get the needed help through a physical psychiatry office to meet with a psychiatrist, all hope is not entirely lost. You can try your hand at getting psychiatric help online. It would not hurt much at all to have psychiatric help online. Regardless, psychiatric help is psychiatric help whether online or offline. The only difference is that you are seeking psychiatric help conveniently as opposed to visiting with a psychiatrist in a physical office.

I think the reason people may put off or disregard online psychiatry are of many reasons, perhaps mostly the anonymous factor. It is completely understandable. One would rather be in close contact with a psychiatrist in person and gaining the needed help. If you are skittish about if online psychiatry is less effective than going to a real psychiatrist, then let us look at factors to help you at least consider online psychiatry. Think about shopping for a moment. If there was something special you want to buy, you could visit a store, a shopping center, or a mall to buy. But what if what you want to buy is not sold at a store near you? You can take up online shopping if applicable. Online shopping means you will not have to put up with parking or annoying people. Same applies for online psychiatry. Some people are unable to get quality psychiatric help and be able to access a physical office and meet with a psychiatrist in person. So when you are unable to access a real psychiatrist, your next best option is to consider online psychiatry to get the help you need.

Reasons Why Online Psychiatry Can Be Effective.

I can think of two reasons why online psychiatry can be as good as or better than non-online psychiatry. Consider the following...

• For one, I think online psychiatry is effective because if you are unable to appear in a physical office of a psychiatrist, he/she can still assist you through a number of sessions from a distance. You are still getting the needed help from a licensed and certified psychiatrist.

• The other reason why I think online psychiatry is effective is for financial reasons. Professional help costs money; and so when you may not have as much finances to get the best possible help, you are perhaps better off getting psychiatric help from whatever fine psychiatrist you can contact and within your budget. You might even be saving some money through online psychiatry by not having to worry about gas prices or any travel expenses.

Now that you've seen me discuss online psychiatry and its effectiveness, allow me to provide final thoughts for you all. So go to the next section.

Is Online Psychiatry Effective? Final Thoughts

Online psychiatry can just as effective as non-online psychiatry. If you can not afford to visit a physical psychiatrist at his/her physical office, you can still get the needed psychiatric help through online psychiatry. I look at this issue more along the lines of getting the needed help even if you are unable to access an actual office or be able to pay for the services. Getting the help you need is what is most important to get back to living a healthy and normal life. In this instance, you want to take whatever measures needed to try to make recovery happen. While it may be true you could get psychiatric help anywhere, even online, it all works best with a fully accredited and licensed psychiatrist to help you with your mental health issues. So consider all of your options when looking at psychiatric help- even including online psychiatry. And yes- online psychiatry is as effective as non-online psychiatry.
